In marketing work, competitor monitoring is high-frequency but low-leverage: most of the time gets eaten by manually pulling content and comments across platforms. And looking at any single platform gives a distorted view, YouTube comments capture immediate reactions to content, Reddit captures deeper concerns about the product. Read just one and you'll misjudge what users actually care about.
I built a workflow on Coze that compresses this. It pulls a brand's recent YouTube videos, samples top comments for immediate reactions, then routes into related community threads to capture deeper signals. The output is a structured cross-platform report: official content overview, immediate reactions, community discussion themes, platform-level differences, and suggested actions for the marketing team. Game industry was the test case because public content density was highest, but the structure transfers, consumer brands, healthcare education, SaaS launches.
Three decisions that mattered. First, splitting into nodes instead of one big LLM call, raw comments are noisy; one prompt amplifies the noise. Second, capping sample size, bigger samples produced more scattered insights, not better ones. The goal is early signal detection, not exhaustive analysis. Third, always labelling sample limits in the output, public comments aren't representative of the full audience. The report is a signal, not a verdict.

The bigger lesson: AI workflows are ceiling-limited by the model behind them. Coze's built-in LLMs lag the frontier by months, which constrains long-context reasoning and cross-source synthesis. So the workflow's real value isn't "AI does marketing analysis" it's that AI compresses the boring half of the analysis so I can spend time on the judgment half.
